John COPELAND 
John was born in 1819 in Pennsylvania.1 John's father was William COPELAND and his mother was Sara SNIDER. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Hiram, Nehri Alfred, Alford B, Alpheus B., William E., Samuel Guy, Mary Ann, Harriet Belle, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Johanna and Abigail. He was the third oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 71 on May 7th, 1890 in McDonough Co., Illinois.1
