Waleran de was born in 1104 in Of, Meulan, Ile De France, France.1 Waleran de's father was Robert de BEAUMONT and his mother was Elizabeth (de Vermandois) Capet. His paternal grandparents were Roger de BEAUMONT and Adeliza (Adeline) MEULENT; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Capet and Adelle (Adelaide) de VERMANDOIS. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Robert II de, Hugh de, Isabel (Elizabeth) de, Aubreye de, Adelina de, Agnes de, Havoise De, Amicade de and Maud de. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Reynald de, Ralph de, William III de, Gundred de and Ada de. He died at the age of 62 on April 10th, 1166 in Abbey, Preaux, Normandy, France. He was buried in Abbey, Preaux, Normandy, France.1 1 General Notes
