John R. Slaymaker 
John R. was born on October 24th, 1799 in Lancaster Co., PA. John R.'s father was Amos Slaymaker and his mother was Isabella Fleming. His paternal grandparents were Henry Slaymaker and Faithful Richardson; his maternal grandparents were James Fleming and Janet Cowan. He had five brothers and five sisters, named James Fleming, Jasper, Henry Fleming, Amos Henderson, William Daniel, Faithful, Isabella, Elizabeth, Jean Jane and Hannah. He was the second youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 15 on April 15th, 1815 in Lancaster Co., PA.General Notes
