Mary Anne was born on February 16th, 1806. Mary Anne's father was John Eager Howard and her mother was Margaretta Chew. Her paternal grandparents were Cornelius Howard and Ruth Eager; her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Chew and Elizabeth Oswald. She had six brothers and two sisters, named John Eager, George, Benjamin C., William, James, Charles, Juliana Elizabeth and Sophia Catharine. She was the youngest of the nine children.General Notes
