Anne "Nancy" Gist 
Anne "Nancy" was born about 1734 in Baltimore Co., MD. Anne "Nancy"'s father was Christopher Gist and her mother was Sarah Howard. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Gist and Zipporah Murray; her maternal grandparents were Joshua Howard and Joanna O'Carroll. She had three brothers and a sister, named Richard, Nathaniel, Thomas and Violetta. She was the second youngest of the five children. She died about 1795 in Clark Co., KY.General Notes

An interesting item on Nancy is that she may have been a love interest of
George Washington in his younger days. Thomas & Nancy's father,
Christopher, served as a guide to a young George Washington and George
Washington was several times a guest in the home of Thomas Gist. One
account says that Martha Washington destroyed any correspondence between
Geroge Washington and Nancy Gist.
