Countess Luitgard of Leiningen

Luitgard was born about 1150 in Alt-Leiningen, Pfalz, Bavaria.¹ Luitgard's father was Count Emich of Leiningen III and her mother was Elisabeth von Eberstein. Her paternal grandparents were Count Emich of Leiningen II and Alberat von Nassau. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Hermann, Eberhard, Friedrich, Adolf, Emich, Siegmund, Elisabeth, Alberat and Luitgard. She was the eighth oldest of the ten children. She died in 1235.¹
