Philip Sture

Philip was born before 1756 and his baptism took place on December 22nd, 1757 in Woodleigh.¹   Philip's father was Philip Sture and his mother was Mary Whiteway (of Harberton ).  His paternal grandparents were George Sture and Sarah Foale. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Edmund, Henry, George, Richard, May, Sarah, Sarah, Ann and Peggy.  He was the second oldest of the ten children.
