George Sture

George was born before 1763 and his baptism took place on July 5th, 1763 in Woodleigh.¹   George's father was Philip Sture and his mother was Mary Whiteway (of Harberton ).  His paternal grandparents were George Sture and Sarah Foale. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Philip, Edmund, Henry, Richard, May, Sarah, Sarah, Ann and Peggy.  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.  He died about 1845.¹
