John Steere 
John was born before 1821 and his baptism took place on February 18th, 1821 in Aveton Gifford Devon.1 John's father was Philip Steer and his mother was Jane (Jenny) Wilton. His paternal grandparents were George Sture and Fanny Prouse. He had a brother and five sisters, named James, Mary, Jane, Fanny, Ann and Hannah. He was the third oldest of the seven children.
