Jane Steer

Jane was born before 1832 and her baptism took place on February 2nd, 1832.¹ Jane's father was Sampson Luscombe Steer and her mother was Mary Torr. Her paternal grandparents were George Sture and Mary Luscombe. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Luscombe, Sampson, Anne, Harriet, Mary, Emma, Elizabeth and Grace. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
