Harry was born on January 4th, 1894 in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire..¹

Birth Notes

Harry's father was Jasper Steer and his mother was Alice Atkinson. His paternal grandparents were William Steer and Janet Hamlin. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Jasper, Adolphus, Albert, Amelia, Iris, Ada, Elsie and Nellie. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died as a war casualty, Trawler Orcades, sunk in the Great War, at the age of 22 on April 14th, 1916.¹
