George Steer

George was born before 1809 and his baptism took place on January 15th, 1809 in Aveton Gifford Devon.¹   George's father was George Steere and his mother was Elizabeth Brooking. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Henry, William, James, John, Sarah and Rhoda.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.
