Anne was born in 1728 and her baptism took place on February 5th, 1727 in Fittleworth Sussex.1  Anne's father was Thomas Steer and her mother was Mary. She had six brothers and two sisters, named George, Thomas, James, William, Daniel, David, Mary and Elizabeth.  She was the second youngest of the nine children.
