James STEER 
James was born in 1773 in Tandridge, Surrey..1 James' father was William STEER and his mother was Mary ATHERFOLD. His paternal grandparents were John STEER and Elizabeth FRITH. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William, Thomas, John, Stephen, George, Mary, Clements, Anne and Betty (Elizabeth). He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 64 in January 1837 in Crowhurst, Surrey.. He was buried on January 25th, 1837 in St George, Crowhurst, Surrey..2 1 General Notes
