George F was born about 1885 in Ecclesfield Yorkshire.1   George F's father was Thomas STEER and his mother was Emma STEER. He had five brothers and a sister, named Samuel, Albert E, Thomas, Joseph H, Joel and Matilda.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.
