Flossie was born about 1890 in Cardiff Glamorgan.1   Flossie's father was William STEER and her mother was Annie STEER. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, William, Samuel, Lily, Rose, Christian, Daisy and Dorothy.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.
