Hannah was born about 1852 in Pluckley, Kent.1   Hannah's father was Benjamin STEARS and her mother was Harriett STEARS. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Horace, Benjamin, Harriett and Charlotte.  She was the youngest of the five children.
