James STEAR

James was born about 1840 in Wortley, Yorkshire.¹ James' father was Samuel STEAR and his mother was Hannah STEAR. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Sam, George Henry, Charles, Mary Ann, Elizabeth and Rebecca. He was the oldest of the eight children.
