Norman Lindsay was born on April 20th, 1921 in Albany, Western Australia. Norman Lindsay's father was Joseph Thomas (Joe) Newbey and his mother was Alice Steer. His paternal grandparents are Newbey and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Edward William Steer and Sarah Hinge. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Edward William, Thomas Joseph (Joe), James Herbert (Jim), Brenda Alice and Linda May. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 23 on August 12th, 1944 in Charndon, Buckinghamshire, England. He was buried in August 1944 in Oxford (Botley) Cemetery, Oxfordshire, England.-
