Amy was born before 1777 and her baptism took place on December 16th, 1777 in St Austell.  Amy's father was John Brokenshire (Brokensher) and her mother was Amy. She had four brothers and a sister, named Joseph, Henry, Benjamin, Mark and Amelia.  She was the second oldest of the six children.
