William was born on August 30th, 1864 in Hackbridge, Carshalton, Surrey and his baptism took place on October 4th, 1864 in Beddington with Wallington, Surrey.1 2  William's father was Edwin Curtis Goad and his mother was Lucy Ellen.  His paternal grandparents were William Goad and Minna Wilhelmina Jacqueline. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Edwin, Francis, Charles, Alfred, Basil, George, Florence, Eva and Constance.  He was the oldest of the ten children.





William's family

William and Georgiana  were married in a religious ceremony on July 19th, 1890 in St Pauls Knightsbridge.3   They were divorced on June 25th, 1897 requested by the wife, the husband's attorney was Mr Pritchard and the wife's attorney was Bargrave Deane QC & C F Gill.3
