Edwin was born on August 6th, 1839 in Mitcham and his baptism took place there on October 31st, 1839.1 2  Edwin's father was William Goad and his mother was Minna Wilhelmina Jacqueline.  His paternal grandparents were William Thomas Goad and Sarah. He had a sister named Goad.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 51 in 1890.





Edwin's family

They had seven sons and three daughters, named William, Edwin, Francis, Charles, Alfred, Basil, George, Florence, Eva and Constance.
