Mary was born on July 27th, 1816 and her baptism took place on March 11th, 1818 in Old Church, Saint Pancras, London.1  Mary's father was William Thomas Goad and her mother was Sarah.  Her paternal grandparents were William Goad and Darling Thomas. She had two brothers named William and William.  She died at the age of 36 in 1852.2 




Mary's family

Mary and Jonathan were married in a religious ceremony on July 4th, 1839 in Mitcham by Reverend George Rigg.3  They had four sons and two daughters, named William, Herbert, Frederick, Arthur, Fanny and Edith.
