Arthur's father was Arthur Curnock and his mother was Ann.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Curnock and Elizabeth. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Jacob, George, Caleb, Elizabeth, Rachel and Jemima.  He was the youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 53 in 1778.  The funeral took place on May 29th, 1778 in Uley, Glos..
