Gwen Ethel was born in 1911 in Northcote.1  Gwen Ethel's father was Edwin Joseph PROSSER and her mother was Ethel Maude GRATION.  Her paternal grandparents were William John PROSSER and Elizabeth Amelia ARTHUR. She had a brother and two sisters, named Edwin William, Dorothy Irene and Hazel Evelyne.  She is the youngest of the four children.
