Dorothy Irene was born in 1902 in Collingwood.1  Dorothy Irene's father was Edwin Joseph PROSSER and her mother was Ethel Maude GRATION.  Her paternal grandparents were William John PROSSER and Elizabeth Amelia ARTHUR. She had a brother and two sisters, named Edwin William, Hazel Evelyne and Gwen Ethel.  She was the oldest of the four children.
