The will of BRERETON William late of Cacca Dutton in the County of Denbigh who died 16 October 1884 was proved at St Asaph by Roger Brereton of Cacca Dutton Gentleman the son and John Brereton of Harthill in the county of Chester Farmer the nephew the Executors.
According to the chapel records, William was buried at Brown Knowl Chapel in 1884, aged 78. The grave is 5 rows down from the chapel and some 3 graves in from the end of the row. There is probably no headstone (TBC). His widow Mary is buried in the same plot. John Brereton (aged 4) is also buried in the same plot.
Another William Brereton, Yeoman, of Preston on the Hill died the same year (1884) and left a will leving his estate (part) to his wife Jane. This must be another person!. No will.
