John and Amelia were married in a religious ceremony on December 21st, 1819 in Bradford by Vicar Henry Heap and witnessed by William Smith & Mary Ann Ledger.¹

    Note: There's another John Smith and Amelia Patchett marriage at Bradford in 1824.  This is another couple, although the Amelia's are probably cousins or close relations.  This John was a cordwainer (i.e. a shoemaker) and had their children baptised at the Methodist Chapel in Wilsden.

They had two sons and five daughters, named John, David, Isabella, Sarah, Elizabeth, Sarah and Jane.  There are no more children.
