Anna was born on June 23rd, 1881 in Illinois (IL). Anna's father was Christoph Heinrich Witthoft Jnr and her mother was Johanna (Anna) C Dittmer.  Her maternal grandparents were Henry Dittmer and Marie Stienhaur. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Henry, John, Katie, Dora and Emma.  She was the second oldest of the six known children.  She died at the age of 80 on January 29th, 1962 in Iowa.1
