Hannah or Johanna (or maybe Anna Magdalena) Dittmer is an unconfirmed sister or cousin of Henry Dittmer.
Anna Dittmer was born: 24 Jun 1857, Barnstedt, Lüneburg, about 6 miles East of Diersbüttel. She is probably related to Henry Dittmer of Diersbüttel. Both Colin Dittmer and I have 10 cM DNA matches to her g-granddaughter, although not a shared connection.
Anna may be Anne Dorothee E Dittmer, born 24 Jun 1857 in Barnstede (see Thorsten Meyer’s tree) so Anne may be the Dorothee his sister.
30 Oct 1862 The family emigrated from Hambourg to the USA on the ship Oder (steerage class).
In 1870, Anna Dittmer (15) was in Augusta, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA. She was with assumed parents Friderick (a shoe maker) and Mary Dittmer (53 & 42) and brother Gustavus (17), all born in Prussia.
13 Oct 1873 Johann Dittmer (16), sailing from Liverpool on the "City of Paris", arrived in New York. She was the daughter of Lorenz and Dorothea Dittmer (46 & 45) and was with 5 other siblings, so this may be a different person. They also lived in Illinois and are buried at Pleasant Valley, Jo Daviess County.
By 1880, Anna's brother Gustave (27), a boot and shoe dealer was married to Jennie (20 from Vermont), was still living at Augusta, Eau Claire with his father Ferderick (63) a shoemaker.
