Mary Barns Whitelaw 
Mary was born in 1869 in Kearsley.1 Mary's father was Thomas Whitelaw and her mother was Ann Benyon. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Benyon and Mary Haslam. She had a brother and a sister, named Alfred and Martha. She was the youngest of the three children.
