Alfred Barnes Whitelaw 
Alfred was born in 1866 in Kearsley.1 Alfred's father was Thomas Whitelaw and his mother was Ann Benyon. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Benyon and Mary Haslam. He had two sisters named Martha and Mary. He was the second oldest of the three children.
