Thomas Walmsley

Thomas was born in 1812 in Ormskirk and his baptism took place there on September 6th, 1812.¹

Thomas' father was Richard Walmsley and his mother was Martha Forshaw. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James, Richard, Stephen, Mary, Elizabeth, Martha and Alice. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 78 in 1890.

General Notes
- The Bolton Chronical (2 Sep 1837) reported Thomas's marriage: On the 29th ult., at the Parish Church. Mr Thomas Wlmsley, iron-monger, Deansgate, to Sophia, third daughter of Mr Matthias Mather, all of this town.
