Annie was born on August 5th, 1883 in Farnworth and her baptism took place on November 18th, 1883 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1 2  Annie's father was Henry Unsworth and her mother was Alice Lomax.  Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Lomax and Alice Horridge. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Edward, Benjamin, Ada and Bertha.  She was the third oldest of the five children. She had two half-brothers named Frank and Harry.  She died at the age of 81 in 1964 in Lancaster.
