Christian was born on February 16th, 1757 in Holt and her baptism took place there on March 27th, 1757.1  Christian's father was James Tomlinson and her mother was Mary Banks. She had three brothers and four sisters, named James, John, Edward, Ann, Penelope, Sophia and Frances.  She was the youngest of the eight children.
