Ann was born on January 8th, 1835 in Whitefield and her baptism took place on March 22nd, 1835 at All Saints (Stand).1  Ann's father was Thomas Taylor and her mother was Elizabeth (Lissey) Walker.  Her paternal grandparents were James Taylor and Rachel Madther. She had a brother and three sisters, named James, Mary, Alice and Nancy. She had an adopted brother named James.
