Alice was born in 1771 in Little Hulton and her baptism took place on April 17th, 1771 at St. Mary (Deane). Alice's father was Daniel Stones and her mother was Ann Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were John Mather and <unknown>. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Simon, James, William, Sarah and Ann.  She was the oldest of the six known children.  She died at the age of 60 on April 10th, 1831 in Farnworth.  She was buried on April 14th, 1831 in Farnworth.1
