Ann was born in 1766 in Sowerby and her baptism took place there on June 24th, 1766.1  Ann's father was Joseph Stocks and her mother was Sara Wilkinson. She had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Joseph, David and Betty.  She was the youngest of the five children.
