Esther was born on March 30th, 1919 in Ulverston.¹

Birth Notes

Esther's father was Walter Andrew Rutherford and her mother was Ruth Mather. Her maternal grandparents were John Mather and Mary Jane Miller. She had a brother and two sisters, named Norman, Dorothy and Marian. She was the youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 74 in December 1993 in Lancaster.²
