Mary was born on May 30th, 1841 in Huddersfield.1  Mary's father was Robert Robinson and her mother was Amelia (Emma) Maplestone. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Henry, James, Margaret and Elizabeth.  She was the youngest of the five children.
