Ann, known as Annie, was born in 1870 in Blackpool.1   Annie's father was James Richardson and her mother was Sarah Shaw.  Her maternal grandparents were George Shaw and Mary Ann Stocks. She had a brother named Frederick.  She was the younger of the two children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Joseph and Jane.  She died at the age of 76 in 1946.
