John Pighels

John was born in 1744 in Keighley and his baptism took place there on March 31st, 1744.¹   John's father was Thomas Pighels and his mother was Hannah (Ann) Wright. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, Michael, Joseph, Eunice and Rachel.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died about 1745 in Keighley.
