Anne was born in June 1719 in Slaithwaite and her baptism took place there on August 2nd, 1719.1  Anne's father was George Parkin and her mother was Susanna Harrison. She had three brothers and two sisters, named George, Joseph, Robert, Mary and Sarah.  She was the youngest of the six known children.
