Ralph Orrell

Ralph was born on November 27th, 1790 in Turton and his baptism took place on January 2nd, 1791 at Walmsley Presbyterian.¹

Ralph's father was Richard Orrell and his mother was Jane (Jenny) Lomax. His maternal grandparents were James Lomax and Mary Taylor. He had three sisters named Nelly, Mary and Betty. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 50 in 1840 in Edgworth.²

General Notes
- There are two Ralph Orrells from Turton.
  
  In 1814, Ralph Orrell of Manchester married Mary Roebuck, and this Ralph died in 1837 at Stockport (born Turton Bottoms). There is another Edgworth death record for Ralph Orrell in 1840 of correct age, but this could be Ralph son of Richard and Margaret. DNA doesn't help.
