Zacheriah, known as Zacherie, was born about 1587 in Radcliffe.  Zacherie's father was Gabriell Mather and his mother was Elizabeth.  His paternal grandparents were Ralph Mather and <unknown>. He had four brothers and a sister, named James, Raphell, Abraham, Gabriell and Dorothie.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died on June 22nd, 1665 in Turton.  He was buried at St. Peter's (Bolton).1
