Sarah was born in December 1846 in Warrington.1  Sarah's father was Arthur Mather and her mother was Jane Smith. She had four brothers named John, Adam, Thomas and William.  She was the third oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother named Joseph.  She died as an infant at 5 months old in May 1847 in Warrington.  She was buried on May 26th, 1847 in Warrington.
