Margaret was born in July 1791 in Turton and her baptism took place on July 3rd, 1791 at Walmsley Presbyterian conducted by minister Thomas Davies.1

Solomon and Matty's daughter Betty was baptised together (i.e same place and date).
There is another Bolton baptism of Margt Dau of Betty 4 Aug 1791. This could be another person.
Margaret's father was James Mather and her mother was Betty Knowles. She had three brothers, and also a sibling of unknown gender named John, James, Isaac and <unknown>. She was the youngest of the five known children. She died about 1860.
Margaret and John were married in a religious ceremony on April 27th, 1812 at Manchester Cathedral.2 They had a biological son and a biological daughter, named Thomas and Mary. They also had an adopted son named William. The family line is yet to be completed.
