Betty Knowles. He had two brothers and a sister, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named

Possibly died 1785-1797
If his father James re-married Happy Lomax or Sarah Makin after James's mother Betty died in 1789, then this son James would be expected to have also died an infant, as his father named another son James (by both marriage options). There are two known deaths and burials for James, but both are of other families:
