James Mather

James was born in February 1792 in Warrington and his baptism took place on February 26th, 1792 at St. Elphin (Warrington).¹

James' father was Samuel Mather and his mother was Ellen Boardman. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Mather and Sarah Curran. He had a sister named Sarah. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 52 in October 1844 in Warrington. His burial was on October 13th, 1844 at St. Elphin (Warrington).²

- 21 Jan 1816, James Matheer, butcher (like his father) married Alice Taylor at St. Peter's Bolton. After they married, James and Alice lived in Princes Street, Wigan where they had daughters Ellen and Esther.
  
  However, this mariage is unconfirmed as James died in Warrington in 1844, aged 52
