James Mather

James was born on November 13th, 1795 in Walmsley and his baptism took place on November 22nd, 1795 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).¹²

James' father was John Mather and his mother was Betty Bentley. His paternal grandparents were Robert Madther and Betty (Elizabeth) Ripson. He had two sisters named Alice and Mary. He was the oldest of the three known children. He died at the age of 72 in 1867 in Bury.³
